In the role, you will oversee and manage the successful execution of projects from the Purchase Order stage through to final delivery, invoicing, and payment. This is a Senior position within a specialist organisation which is crucial in ensuring smooth project delivery, while managing a team of professionals, fostering business development, and ensuring operational excellence. This is a role that offers the opportunity to Senior Leadership, with a direct route to a Directors position.Your Background:The ideal candidate will come from a HVAC manufacturing background or from the following industries renewables, marine, nuclear, oil and gas or power generation.Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Sales and Proposals teams on major projects to understand project costs, design specifications, and customer requirements
- Support and guide the project team from bid/quote clarification phase through to job handover upon receipt of orders.
- Oversee and manage the workloads of the Project Management team
- Ensure all necessary documentation, drawings, designs, work instructions, cost amendments, and invoicing are created and delivered for the successful completion of projects
- Act as the formal point of contact for clients, addressing queries, issues, complaints, and changes. Resolve potential issues that could delay projects or affect profitability
- Liaise with senior management to provide regular updates on project progress and financial health
- Commercial/Contracts/Projects background dealing with the full cycle from purchase order stage through to invoicing and payment
- Essential to come from an Industrial Manufacturing background
- Ideally come from one of these industries - HVAC, Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewables, Chemical, Energy, Nuclear
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
