Job PurposeResponsibility to the Asset Manager for the safe and cost-effective management of the vessel's plant and machinery. In addition, he/she will undertake specific projects in their own right. Undertake other duties as required by the Senior Manager, Marine.Job DescriptionThe provision of daily support to the vessels and assist in ensuring timely procurement of spares, maintenance of vessel inventory and maintain an overview of all critical spares for the vesselsPerform tasks as requested / instructed by Senior Manager, Marine / Asset ManagerThe hull / structure, tanks, all marine plant, systems and machinery, permanently installed, on the vessel are maintained and fit for purpose. Ensure the vessel condition assessment report updated annuallyResponsible person for ensuring all condition based monitoring results are analysed and ensure follow up actions are carried outMonitor the vessel Opex budget for repair and maintenance etc ensuring this is managed within budget and monthly forecasts issued by finance are returned in the specified time frameShall ensure that items of a technical nature captured in the vessel assurance are reviewed / considered and action taken as necessary for future action or considerationAll maintenance tasks within the planned maintenance system do not exceed their due date - Maintenance Strategy Initiative (MSI) process followedEnsure the planned maintenance routines are updated to accommodate new, modified equipment and Change Request Forms (CRFs) are processed in a reasonable time frameReview compliance with BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 and International Safety Management Code (ISM)Class surveys are undertaken before their final due dateMonitor survey cycles, statutory survey requirements and carry out important surveys physically onboard. Maintain validity of class, international, national and specific certificates. Plan regular and special surveys / repairs / dry-dockings in advance, with maximum time and cost benefits to the vesselLead the management of Safety Critical Elements (SCE) and in particular the mitigation controls for degraded or the non availability of an SCE. In conjunction with the technical authoritiesUnderstand the mitigation controls identified in the major accident hazard bowties and ensure that these controls are applied and complied withYou are meant for this job if:HNC / HND or degree qualified in a relevant engineering or project management disciplineSTCW marine engineer qualification - or equivalentProven background of one's own specific disciplineThe ability to react and continue to deliver results at a high standard when under pressureProven background or knowledgeable in the use of project management toolsA dynamic self motivated individual who can lead or participate in a strong technical project management team • Effective problem solver who thinks in and out of the box • Adaptable, enthusiastic and comfortable with a challenge either technically, deadlines or financiallyBeing a global leader in the energy industry requires an inclusive and diverse environment.
