It starts with you.As a Strategic Senior Buyer, you’ll bring experience of working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a successful commercial outcome, a basic knowledge of contract law and experience of working within cross functional unit teams to deliver procurement projects. You will have first-class communication skills, a strategic sourcing and category management expertise and be commercially focused with a proven ability of considering total cost of ownership and delivering added value.You’ll be responsible for ensuring products and services are competitively sourced and cost effective as well as maintaining supplier relationships from a commercial perspective, controlling costs, quality, ongoing service enhancements and risk management.As a Strategic Senior Buyer , you’ll be responsible for:Category management of Orthopaedics across the hospital businessEnsuring related clinical products and services are competitively sourcedMaintaining supplier relationships from a commercial perspectiveIdentifying and delivering cost saving initiativesMaintaining quality of service throughoutSupporting ongoing service enhancementsManagement of risk across areas of responsibilityTo succeed as our Clinical Senior Buyer, you will need to demonstrate:Strategic sourcing and category management expertise within a healthcare settingExcellent communication and presentation skillsExperienced negotiator; proficient in drawing upon and developing fact-based negotiation plansExperience of working closely with and influencing internal stakeholders to ensure a successful commercial outcomeBasic knowledge of contract law; proficient at drafting commercial contractsCommercially focused with proven ability of considering total cost of ownership and delivering added valueRelevant experience of working within cross functional/business unit teams to deliver procurement projects and drive savings across the organisationExperience with medical surgical consumables, devices, orthopaedics or alike will be highly beneficial.Helping you feel good.We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued.
