Our nursery welcomes children from 6 months to 5 years, and we take pride in offering exceptional care and early education to give every child the very best start in life.The RoleAs a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an essential role within our dedicated team. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will help to create a nurturing and inspiring setting for children. Your duties will include delivering age-appropriate activities, supporting mealtimes, attending to personal care needs, and promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress, celebrating achievements and developmental milestones.Build strong, positive relationships with children and parents, ensuring open and effective communication.Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment at all times.Support children’s emotional well-being, offering comfort and encouragement where needed.Work collaboratively with the team to create a stimulating and creative learning environment.Qualifications and ExperienceA minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or an equivalent qualification).Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.A sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its practical application.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.Working HoursThis is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
