Start Date: ASAPPertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK-based power solutions company for a unique opportunity that combines delivery driving with hands-on technical support - perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career in field service engineering.We're looking for a practical, hands-on individual to support a busy team of Field Service Engineers. You'll be out on the road delivering parts and equipment as well as getting involved on-site and assisting with the servicing and testing of diesel generators.This role offers a clear path to becoming a fully trained Field Service Engineer in around five years' time. You'll gain real-world experience, technical exposure, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking team.What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering tools, parts and equipment to engineers across the region
- Assisting engineers on site with servicing, testing and general maintenance
- Supporting the workshop team with parts handling and logistics
- Ensuring your delivery van is kept clean, roadworthy, and ready for action
- Completing basic paperwork and delivery logs
- Acting as a helpful, professional representative of the business
- Following all health & safety protocols to keep yourself and others safe
- Full UK driving licence (with 3 points or less)
- A practical mindset - not afraid to get stuck in
- Friendly, positive, and reliable attitude
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a technical role
- Experience in a delivery or driving role
- Interest in mechanics, electrical work or engineering
- Any technical training, certifications, or qualifications
