Building Surveyor
Middlesbrough | Temporary / 6 Month FTC
Rate: £30.11 Umb / £41,468 per annum (plus a market supplement of £3,599 per annum) pro rataVenn Group are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor on behalf of a reputable Housing Association in the Middlesbrough area.Day-to-day duties will include:
  • Carrying out surveys for critical damage, fire, flood, subsidence and severe damp and mould
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of works, and overseeing contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, building regulations, and organisational policies
  • Liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery
The successful candidate will have:
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, with particular focus on fire, flood and subsidence within social housing or property management
  • Strong knowledge of housing maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) or extensive demonstratable experience
