Pastoral Support– September startCover People are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming secondary school in Salford to find a full time, long term Pastoral Support in September!The school is likely to offer a permanent role for the successful candidate.Responsibilities may include:

Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students
Provide tailor-made 1:1 and small group support intervention
Liase with parents/carers about potentially sensitive topics including safeguard concerns
Monitor student behaviour, attendance and punctuality
Report directly to the Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo
Liaise with external agencies – possibly including social workers & CAMHS

Requirements:

An Enhanced DBS on the update service OR the willingness to comply
Strong organisational and IT skills (SIMS/Arbor and CPOMS)
Experience working with young people in a pastoral, educational or youth work setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with young people, helping to effectively safeguard

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. The above vacancy is a temporary position. Occasionally, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. We offer flexibility with this, as we understand some candidates may not wish to commit to a permanent contract.
