Salary: Up to ÂŁ39,000 per annum (depending on experience - not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the RoleAs part of our continued growth, we're looking for a passionate and skilled Secondary Maths Teacher to join our close-knit team at Oakham Shires School, part of Options Autism.You'll be responsible for delivering GCSE Maths, supporting students across the school, and leading the subject as a Maths Subject Lead.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of autistic pupils who have struggled in mainstream education and need a tailored, compassionate approach.What You'll Be Doing
  • Teaching Maths up to GCSE level in small class groups (max. 6 pupils)
  • Supporting learners with autism and developmental trauma, helping close gaps in learning
  • Leading on the Maths curriculum and supporting cross-school development
  • Adapting lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and individual needs
  • Creating a calm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Working with a team of passionate educators and therapists to help every child thrive
What We're Looking For
  • QTS / BEd / PGCE or equivalent
  • Proven experience of teaching Maths at GCSE level
  • Experience supporting SEN and/or disadvantaged learners
  • A compassionate, calm, and emotionally intelligent approach
  • Understanding of autism, trauma-informed practices, and behaviour as communication
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
