Work for a leading construction equipment distributorAre you an experienced Plant Engineer who thrives on hands-on work?Our client, a well-established name in the construction equipment industry, is looking for a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their team at the Duxford depot.If you've got the technical ability to service, diagnose, and repair heavy plant machinery and you're looking for a stable, long-term role with strong pay and excellent benefits this could be the perfect move.What You'll Be Doing:
- Service, maintain, and repair a broad range of plant equipment, from excavators to dumpers
- Diagnose faults across hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines using laptop-based tools
- Handle full machine rebuilds, warranty jobs, and preventative maintenance
- Accurately complete job cards, parts orders, and service reports
- Collaborate with a supportive depot team and share your knowledge
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant, Agri, HGV, or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and diagnostics
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic systems
- Your own toolkit (essential)
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Welding/fabrication skills? That's a bonus!
- Solid base salary + bonus + paid overtime
