Job Title: EC&I Design Engineer, Gas Industry (Permanent)
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £38,000-£55,000per annum dependant upon experience

What You'll Do
  • Produce high-quality electrical and instrumentation designs across LV, ELV, and hazardous areas (ATEX/IEC 60079)
  • Interpret and develop detailed drawings, schematics, and design documentation
  • Carry out design calculations using tools such as AMTECH and Dialux
  • Occasionally attend local sites for surveys and kick-off meetings
  • Mentor junior EC&I engineers (for senior candidates)
  • Collaborate with other engineers and contribute to HAZOPs and design reviews
What Our Client Is Looking ForEssential:
  • 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification
  • At least 3 years' experience in electrical or EC&I design
  • Experience with hazardous area design (COMPEX 8-12 preferred)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of G17/G35 and IEC 60079 standards
  • Gas sector experience
  • Commissioning or inspection background
  • Professional registration (IEng/CEng) or working towards it
