- Design and implement a best-in-class recruitment and probation process that is lightweight yet ensures excellent talent acquisition.
- Own and run some of the recruitment processes - from screening to offer and probation checks.
- Advise and advocate for current and future people and recruitment strategies to the CEO’s Office, balancing short-term needs/resources with long-term growth.
- Own the implementation of those strategies across the organisation.
- Hold leaders and hiring managers accountable.
- Set up key analytics to measure people and organisational performance, feeding insights into data-led strategy.
- Build and run an excellent people department that adequately supports the company’s growth and high expectations, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensure you and your team have full context on what is happening across the company
- Manage and mentor the People team to deliver at a high standard and scale effectively.
- Coach and support managers on employee relations issues, stepping in to manage directly if necessary.
- Ensure HR policies and systems are compliant, practical, and supportive of company culture.
- 7-10+ years of HR/talent experience, with a proven track record of leading both strategy and execution.
- Broad HR Generalist background with start-up scaling experience.
- Full-cycle recruitment expertise, from sourcing and employer branding to closing senior-level hires.
- Experience designing and implementing talent programs (onboarding, performance management, learning & development, DEI).
- Smart, pragmatic, and data-driven with the ability to influence leadership.
- Low ego, hands-on, and willing to do what it takes to deliver great results.
- Strong communicator with the ability to craft data-driven arguments.
- Ability to work with and understand perspectives of both creative and technical people
- Experience in start-ups and scaling environments (rapid growth, ambiguity, building from scratch).
- Comfortable operating in a “messy” 50-150 person company, with the judgment to know when to implement structure and when to stay lean.
- Exposure to larger organisations is a plus, bringing best practices while understanding how to adapt them to a high-growth, evolving company.
- A strong academic background is a plus
