As a Senior Quantity Surveyor on this program, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of large-scale civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading on cost planning and commercial strategy.
- Managing cost control across the full project lifecycle.
- Providing commercial support to the project team.
- Ensuring robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels.
- Managing the procurement of subcontractors, including negotiation and financial accounting.
- Advising on contractual claims and disputes.
- Administering NEC contracts and other forms of contract.
- Mentoring and supervising junior Quantity Surveyors.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a commercial role within the civil engineering industry.
- A strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
- Experience in commercial management and the procurement of subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
