Protocol Education is supporting a friendly and inclusive primary school to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2).Are you passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development in a nurturing school environment? Our client is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access the curriculum and thrive both academically and personally.About the Role:Provide support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping to meet their individual learning and personal needs.Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education, Behaviour, Support, and Personal Care Plans.Support pupils’ engagement and independence, promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.Work alongside teachers to plan and deliver learning activities, prepare classroom resources, and support pupils during lessons.Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.Assist with routine administrative tasks including preparing materials, photocopying, and maintaining resources.Support the curriculum through structured learning activities, including literacy, numeracy, and ICT.Supervise pupils during out-of-class times, including before and after school and lunchtimes.Participate in school trips and extracurricular activities under supervision.Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and equal opportunities policies.Role Details:Location: Within commuting distance of Shrewsbury.Grade: Grade 5 (SCP 6).Reporting to the Headteacher.Full-time or part-time hours available (flexible to discuss).What We’re Looking For:Experience supporting children in a classroom setting, ideally with some experience of SEND.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.Reliability, patience, and a proactive approach.
