Location: Basingstoke (Day Shift)
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentJob Description We are looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join our team in Basingstoke. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work independently, performing maintenance and repairs across multiple client sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring our clients’ HGV fleets remain safe, reliable, and roadworthy. This is a day shift role, providing a stable schedule and excellent earning potential.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of HGVs at various customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meet industry standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Accurately complete service records, job sheets, and inspection paperwork.
  • Maintain a well-stocked, organized mobile toolkit and ensure all parts and equipment are accounted for.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and provide a high standard of service.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role, ideally in a mobile capacity.
  • Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 license (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently on-site.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
