Warehouse Operative FLT Driver – Afternoon ShiftLocation: KetteringPay Rate: £14.40/hr (equivalent to £30,000/annum) + Shift AllowanceType of Role: Contract (initially for 6 months)About the CompanyOur client is a leading railway infrastructure company, dedicated to excellence in the rail industry. We are currently seeking skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operatives FLT Drivers to join our team. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the best-in-class service by efficiently managing materials availability and assisting with various warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, storage, kitting, and distribution of components using various FLT machines.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations:
  • Pick stock accurately and efficiently using handheld or mobile devices to scan, ensuring accuracy of the warehouse management system.
  • Perform pick, pack, ship, receive, put-away, and kitting of planned components in line with the defined warehouse management policy using various MHE's.
Quality:
  • Follow packing procedures and guidelines to meet defined quality standards in line with the warehouse management policy.
  • Use appropriate packing materials, methods, and techniques to protect items during transit and storage.
  • Check and verify all picked stock and assembled loads prior to despatch, within the nominated systems.
  • Ensure all stock is handled with care and arrives in perfect condition for our customers/suppliers.
Inventory Control:
  • Assist with inventory control by maintaining accurate records of packed items, playing a crucial role in inventory management and maintaining accurate stock levels.
Housekeeping:
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, ensuring standards are maintained at all times.
Health and Safety:
  • Work in a team environment in a safe manner, adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Undertake a range of duties to support the operational efficiency, general housekeeping, and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse experience is necessary.
  • Attention to detail is essential for accurate stock management.
  • Must possess appropriate hand, eye, and foot coordination to safely use mechanical handling equipment.
  • Reliability, self-motivation, and a strong team player are essential traits.
  • Good communication skills are necessary for contributing to a seamless warehouse operation.
  • Previous experience operating a FLT Counterbalance, VNA, pallet mover, or reach is necessary.
