The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is a specialist orthopaedic tertiary centre and admits patients from all over the UK and abroad.An exciting opportunity has arisen within the RNOH, to recruit a motivated individual, as a full time Safeguarding Administrator, for the adult and children safeguarding teams.As safeguarding administrator, you will be the first point of contact when dealing with enquiries from a variety of professionals in the absence of a safeguarding clinicians. Working as part of the team the post holder will support the provision of a high quality administrative service. The ability to prioritise your workload, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. In addition to IT experience and minute taking skills, there is a need for excellent customer service and good communication skills as well as confident telephone manner.As a potential candidate, you will have proven experience of excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong ability to direct your own workload and adhere to tight and changing deadlines. You will also have an enthusiastic and positive approach to team work, and must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality and an ability to deal with sensitive issues.Main duties of the jobThe Safeguarding Team Administrator will work closely with the Safeguarding team to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the team.Deal with correspondence, communications and emails, liaising, prioritising with the team.Ensuring the alerts for vulnerable children and adults at risk are up to date and uploaded onto ICS and NoteOn.To accurately input monthly and quarterly dashboard data. Produce graphs and tables using IT packages such as Microsoft excel and word.To manage databases, ensuring precise data entry / data retrieval to enable accurate and timely reporting.
  • Able to copy complex material, ability to work with Microsoft / Excel packages to a high standard.
To demonstrate excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. .Handle enquiries professionally, ensuring where possible, needs are met or they are transferred to the most appropriate person or agency, maintaining confidentiality at all times.To prepare and circulate agendas, organise room bookings, circulate meeting invites, keep attendance registers take and act as minute taker ensuring accuracy and comprehensive minutes and produced and circulated in set time frame.Update and maintain the safeguarding intranet and internet pages.About usAt the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), we are committed to achieving the best staff experience in the NHS.
