SEMH Teaching AssistantWe are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant within a dedicated provision. This role is ideal for graduates or individuals with a passion for supporting young people who may need that extra guidance to succeed.The students you will support may present with additional needs such as autism and ADHD, and some have experienced trauma or adverse childhood experiences. Your support will help them build confidence, re-engage with learning, and develop key skills for their future. RolePosition: SEMH Teaching AssistanContract: Full-TimePay: From £96 per dayHours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday) Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials to meet students' needs.One-to-One and Group Support: Work closely with students to provide individualised assistance and encourage participation.Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour strategies, fostering emotional regulation and resilience.Collaboration: Work alongside teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a supportive, holistic learning environment. What We're Looking ForExperience supporting students with SEMH or in alternative education settings (desirable but not essential).Awareness and understanding of SEN.Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with young people.Adaptability and flexibility in your approach.A collaborative mindset and commitment to contributing to a positive school culture. Eligibility RequirementsRight to work in the UK.Enhanced child barred list DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain).Two professional references covering the past two years.
