- Classroom Preparation: Getting the classroom ready for lessons, ensuring all materials and equipment are organised and accessible.
- Direct Pupil Support: Providing essential one-on-one or small group support to children who need extra help, listening to them read, reading to them, and helping them complete tasks.
- Learning Activities: Assisting teachers in planning and delivering learning activities, adapting to different needs, and helping to create optimal conditions for learning.
- Behaviour & Well-being: Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour, supervising group activities, and providing care and comfort to children who are upset or have had accidents.
- Administrative & Logistical Support: Helping to complete records, clearing away materials after lessons, assisting with outings and sports events, and carrying out general administrative tasks.
- Positive Learning Environment: Contributing actively to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel motivated and enjoy learning.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant.
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for motivating children and active listening skills to truly understand their needs.
- Patience & Calmness: The ability to remain patient and calm in various situations, especially during stressful moments.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: An open and flexible approach to working on different activities and adjusting to changing classroom needs.
