Grade: Band 5 - £36,899 - £42,779 BAR £43,954 - £47,590 per annumSanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Disability Team Leader to join our client's team. As a member of the adult disability service, you will provide vital support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support in various settings, including residential homes, supported living, and short break services.
- Engage service users in daily activities such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc., following the active support model.
- Encourage participation of service users in activities and promote independence.
- Coordinate and lead a team within the service.
- Develop and implement individualised care and support programmes.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary team members and associated agencies to coordinate complex care arrangements.
- Maintain professional and respectful relationships with service users, colleagues, and families.
- Aid in the growth, training, and evaluation of junior colleagues.
- Contribute to onboarding new team members.
- Provide guidance and training within the team.
- Offer active support and individual coaching to support staff.
- Procure necessary goods and services for service user needs.
- Under guidance, develop leadership skills in supervising junior staff.
- Coordinate and lead team efforts.
- Manage scheduling and rota assignments.
- Handle accidents/incidents using approved reporting protocols and following organisational policies.
- Independently communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and external agencies.
- Resolve conflicts and address service user issues, referring to appropriate resources when necessary.
- Manage complex, sensitive, or contentious information exchanges.
- Participate in required audits.
- Qualified RNLD
- NMC registration
- Previous mental health nursing experience
- Good IT skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of a valid driving licence (negotiable with the manager depending on the area).
- Leadership skills.
- Caring and empathetic nature.
- Understanding of learning disabilities and/or autism, person-centred care, and positive behavioural support.
