This role is key to supporting the company’s growth, managing hire operations, and delivering top-tier customer service to strengthen market presence.The Job:
As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll manage the hire desk, oversee contracts and logistics, and work with customers and internal teams to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery.Main Responsibilities:Manage depot hire operations to meet service standards professionally.Monitor local hire fleet stock and optimize supply with internal teams.Handle new hire contracts, off-hires, and general enquiries.Support logistics for efficient transport operations.Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth.What You Need:Proven experience in hire operations or a similar role.Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to build client relationships and work independently.Negotiation and time management skills.Knowledge of construction or plant/tool hire industry (desirable).Benefits:Loyalty and quarterly bonus schemesCompany pension28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)Employee discounts, Perk Box, birthday giftFree parkingThis is a great opportunity for a motivated, customer-focused individual to excel in a dynamic role within the plant and tool hire industry.
