- Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery
- Undertake Line Management and or supervisory responsibilities, where you will support, motivate, and mentor members of your team. Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training
- Contribute to the management of the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
- Positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to mitigate risks, avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising and form an informed and balanced opinion having due regard to contract obligations.
- Co-ordinate, review and ensure that there has been a sign off of all management information produced by project management teams prior to issue
- Lead the development of strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
- Be the main interface with AECOM clients (New and Existing)
- Lead the management of design on large complex projects
- Lead the management of tender documents, appraisals, and negotiations on large complex projects
- Lead the formulation and management of construction contracts on large complex projects
- Progress business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross- selling opportunities.
- To support 'winning' clients, being responsible for the quality of work outputs, effective communication, and demonstration of professional behaviours
- Provide leadership within project management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the team
- Manage project finances, resourcing, audits, and reviews, to a portfolio of projects being led within the cost centre
- Formulate fee proposals
- Support Project Managers through Professional Chartership
- Active involvement in recruitment and retention activities
- Ensure you complete all relevant training
- Experience in healthcare, science, and/or infrastructure projects with an understanding of the latest trends, challenges, and regulatory environments.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present project progress to NHS executives, medical researchers, and key stakeholders.
- Experience in design, project management, and contract administration (JCT/NEC).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring healthcare and research projects meet regulatory and operational needs.
- Knowledge of the pre- and post-contract project lifecycle within RIBA stages 1-7.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and compliance management to support hospital, science, and infrastructure projects
- Strong track record of work winning
- Active in the market with business development and networking
- Relevant Post Graduate Qualification
- APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
- Prince 2 or MSP experience
