Are you interested in supporting students within a secondary school or college setting?Do you have any transferable experience or skills in working within a secondary school or college environment?An outstanding sixth form college is looking for an Educational Support Assistant (i.e. Teaching Assistant) to support students as the new academic year has begun. This would be to start as soon as possible in the coming month or so.This sixth form college situated in the inner-city area of central Manchester is looking to recruit an Educational Support Assistant (i.e. Teaching Assistant) to start with them as soon as possible. The successful Support Assistant will be required on a full-time basis for the remainder of the academic year with the opportunity to secure a college-based contract thereafter.The role of the teaching assistant at this mixed sixth form college is to fulfil a fully varied role which will include supporting students in lessons, assisting any students who are identified as having SEN as well as “Pathways” students who study vocational subjects and follow a plan to become independent. The successfully appointed teaching assistant will therefore need to possess skills such as adaptability, confidence and willingness to help students.Key aspects of this teaching assistant role:
  • Full time teaching assistant/ESA required starting as soon as possible for the reminder of the academic year
  • Pay will range between £2100 - £2250 per month dependent upon hours and experience levels
  • 1-year fixed term contract for the successful teaching assistant progressing onto and earning a college based contract following 1 successful term with Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
