Harper May is partnering with a growing travel operator that is seeking an organised and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Clerk to join its finance team. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and offers an excellent opportunity to support a busy finance function in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for cash allocation, receivables processing, and maintaining accurate customer accounts. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and good communication skills, working closely with colleagues across finance and operations to ensure timely and accurate income collection.Key Responsibilities:Post daily receipts and allocate payments against customer accountsMaintain accurate records of receivables and support regular reconciliationsLiaise with customers and internal teams to resolve payment queries and ensure prompt collectionsMonitor aged debt, apply credits, and manage escalations for uncollectible balancesAssist with month-end reporting and support the wider finance team as neededIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency in receivables and cash allocation processesCollaborate across departments to support accurate reporting and cash flow visibilityCandidate Profile:Experience in an accounts receivable or finance assistant roleStrong Excel skills; familiarity with systems such as NetSuite or Tourplan is an advantageExcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong communication and customer service skillsOrganised and able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentUnderstanding of basic accounting principlesAdditional Information:Full-time, Monday to FridayHybrid working: 3 days in the office (Monday and Wednesday required), 2 days remote
