Contract: Full-timeA friendly and welcoming primary school is looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to help maintain our school site and ensure it is safe, secure, and well presented for pupils, staff, and visitors.This role is ideal for someone with good practical skills, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of pride in their work.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the school buildings and grounds are clean, tidy, and well maintainedCarry out minor repairs, maintenance, and decorating as neededOversee site security, including opening and locking up the schoolMonitor and maintain heating, lighting, and alarm systemsManage deliveries and liaise with contractors on-siteEnsure compliance with health and safety proceduresSupport the smooth running of school events and activities✅ Person Specification:Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role (desirable)Basic DIY and repair skillsGood organisational and time management abilitiesReliable, proactive, and able to work independentlyA commitment to safeguarding and keeping children safeWillingness to work flexible hours when needed (e.g., early mornings, evenings)We Offer:A supportive and friendly school communityA varied and rewarding role with real impactOpportunities for training and developmentA well-resourced and pleasant working environmentClosing Date: 29th August 2025All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
