Cover Supervisor (Secondary) – South BristolProtocol Education are looking for confident and proactive Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across South Bristol. You’ll step into classrooms when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and ensuring students stay engaged, supported, and on track with their learning.This role is open to applicants from all backgrounds. Maybe you’ve worked with young people through youth work, coaching, or tutoring, or perhaps you’re a graduate considering a career in education. What matters most is your energy, presence,and ability to motivate students. If you can build rapport and keep a class focused, you’ll make a fantastic Cover Supervisor.What the job looks like:Supervising lessons across different subjects using pre-prepared resourcesManaging classroom behaviour with warmth and consistency, following school policiesEncouraging students to stay on task and complete their workCollecting and organising completed work for the classroom teacherReporting back on progress, engagement, and behaviourAbout you:Confident, resilient, and comfortable leading groups of studentsAble to build positive relationships quickly and keep students motivatedExperience with young people (school-based or in another setting) is desirable, but not essentialGreat communication skills and a proactive, flexible approachWhy Protocol?
