Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Haematology/Cancer Pharmacist to join our esteemed client in Uxbridge. This role involves providing specialist pharmaceutical care to adult patients with haematological cancers, ensuring the safe and effective use of oncology medications. Your expertise will be essential in medication management, chemotherapy verification, and clinical trial support, contributing to high-quality patient care and treatment optimisation.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Haematology/Cancer Pharmacist, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying chemotherapy prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with treatment protocols while providing expert pharmaceutical advice to oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You will closely monitor and manage drug interactions, side effects, and patient responses to oncology medications, ensuring optimal patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness. Additionally, you will educate patients on their treatment plans, including chemotherapy regimens and supportive medications, offering guidance to enhance adherence and understanding. Your role may also involve supporting clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the development of oncology pharmacy guidelines.Qualifications & Experience
- GPhC registration (essential).
- Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Proven experience in adult haematological cancer pharmacy.
- Experience in clinical trials (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
