To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.As a General Porter/Security you will be required to undertake portering/security duties, including CCTV on a day-to-day basis to ensure an efficient, effective and safe service to wards and departments/patients and to deliver the highest standard of Service (Portering/Security) within the NTC site.This is an overnight post working Thursday to Wednesday, 7 on 7 off, 2200hrs-0600hrs.You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills.You must also be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure.You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.A driving licence is essential for this post as you will be expected to drive a van up to 3.5 tonnes and the small Portering/Security vans/cars.Applicants must have have good customer communication skills.We welcome informal enquiries prior to application to: Susan Stewart, Facilities Support Manager
