
Arboricultural Officer

- Full-time
- Conduct annual walked and driven surveys of individual trees and woodlands.
- Commission and oversee contractors delivering tree work. Raise tree works
- Database management of tree inspection information
- Provide guidance on tree root protection zones on construction schemes.
- Contribution to the development and design landscape improvement schemes.
- Work with Landscape Supervisor to complete the soft estate inspections.
- Provide guidance to the supply chain regarding site work and tree root
- Monitor hazardous third-party trees and send letters to landowners.
- Ash Dieback Actions following internal documents.
- Provide input into environmental assessments and the development of
- Proven tree inspection and management skills together with a knowledge of
- Holder of a current LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection award.
- Minimum National Qualification Network Level 3-4 in relation to Arboricultural
- Tree and fungi identification skills
- Membership of the Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters
- Full driving licence.
- Experience working in highways environment is desired but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of mapping software (Arc GIS or similar)
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications
- 25 days paid annual leave (pro rata)
