We are currently supporting a university based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.The position offers hybrid working (2/3 days working from home) and is paying up to £53,353 depending on experience.They are looking for strong HR generalist, CIPD L7 qualified, with a successful track record in managing employee relations and a strong stakeholder manager.Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Working in partnership with the senior management of a specific faculty and other professional advisers to develop and deliver a strategic and operational HR plan
  • Identify risks and develop action plans for assigned faculties/directorates and work collaboratively with other HRBPs to identify alignment of risks with other areas
  • Deliver high-level and non-routine professional HR advice and guidance to senior managers in the assigned area
  • Support the ER team with complex and/or high-risk cases, including investigations, appeals, implementation of legal advice and employment tribunal claims in a unionised environment
  • Delivering guidance to senior managers on organisational design and change, including TUPE, job design, recruitment, EDI, redundancy and staff development
  • Encouraging effective people management competencies by supporting, coaching and influencing senior management in dealing with HR issues, such as performance management, succession planning, reward and employee relations
Experience required:
  • Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers
  • Experience of talent management and developing complex succession management plans
  • Project management skills with experience of successfully developing and managing complex change programmes and projects
  • CIPD L7 qualified
