Assistant Building SurveyorOxfordUp to £33,000 p/aFull-time | Hybrid/Flexible Working AvailableYour OpportunityDue to continued business growth, a fantastic opportunity has opened up for a motivated Assistant Building Surveyor to join a well-established consultancy team based in Oxford.This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of sectors including education, commercial, and industrial, supporting clients at every stage of the property lifecycle-from acquisition to disposal.You'll be part of a highly collaborative team that values progression and supports career development, including full APC support toward chartership.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering projects, commissions, and professional building surveying services
  • Undertake building surveys, site inspections, and attend project meetings
  • Help prepare design specifications, schedules of work, and maintenance programmes
  • Support in producing schedules of dilapidations and negotiating settlements
  • Assist with contract administration and supervision of works on site
  • Contribute to defect analysis and reporting
  • Maintain effective communication across all stages of project delivery
  • Represent the business in a professional manner, attending client meetings and networking events
What We're Looking For:
  • A RICS-accredited degree (minimum 2:1 classification)
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and NBS
  • Organised, proactive and team-oriented approach
  • Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • A genuine passion for progressing a career in building surveying
  • Commitment to working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor
Additional Requirements:This role may require Security Clearance (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV). Offers of employment could be dependent on obtaining the appropriate level of clearance.
