Job Description:Operations SupervisorMonday to FridayLocation: St Austell DepotWe're looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee the depot operations and support our workforce in delivering a safe, efficient, and compliant service.What you'll do:
  • Oversee daily/weekly/monthly tasks to meet KPIs and contract requirements
  • Monitor safe working practices through vehicle CCTV, tracking systems, and on-route crew observations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Operator's Licence, drivers' hours regulations, and the Working Time Directive.
  • Lead inductions, safety training, and site checks
  • Assist Supervisors in driving vehicle and crew efficiencies, while monitoring team performance and competency
  • Support management in ensuring operational productivity, resource planning, and budget alignment.
Here's what we require:
  • Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, operational procedures, and Health & Safety requirements
  • Able to communicate clearly and respectfully at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good understanding of the drivers Working Time Directive.
  • LGV Licence (desirable)
  • Builds trust and positive relationships, contributes to team meetings, and confidently leads crew briefings and toolbox talks.
