This role provides a structured opportunity to develop your career into an Estimator or Contract Supervision role as your skills, experience and knowledge progress.Ideally you will have a back ground in construction or civil engineering as you will need to be able to understand the technical side of the role from day one. This is a very niche role within a specific industry, so expect a steep learning curve! You will need to be able to absorb information, be hard working and quick to learn.The role itself with be supporting the Senior Estimator for a company providing cutting-edge solutions to clients worldwide on anything from small-scale repairs to large infrastructure projects within the civil engineering industry.You will be:
  • Able to interpret and understand clients’ requirements
  • Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • A good communicator as you will be interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Used to working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Utilising your strong numerical and analytical skills as well as your proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to drive – you need a full UK driving licence and car to attend site visits

  • Salary in the range £30,935pa to £36,512pa depending on experience and skills
  • Working hours 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday

Although this is an Estimator Assistant position, it is not a junior role for someone with no engineering background.The role is NOT able to provide sponsorship and also requires experience of UK regulations and processes, so please only express your interest if you meet these stipulations.
