Monday - Thursday 8 - 4.30pm, Friday 1.30pm.Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading Gas and Heating firm based in the Greater Belfast area. Our client installs and maintains heating systems across commercial premises in the greater Belfast area.Your responsibilities as a Field Service Engineer;
- Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools and power tools as necessary.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, including pipe fitting and connections.
- Carry out heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for calculations related to installations and repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
- Experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Certification in relevant gas safety regulations is required (e.g., Gas Safe Register).
- A proactive approach to health and safety practices within the workplace.
