You will be working directly with laboratory staff and to support the senior management team in this key role. Your previous knowledge, skills and expertise will enable you to work independently to exercise your initiative and discretion in developing the role and the support to the laboratory and senior management team and our key internal and external stakeholders across the NHS. Using your organisation abilities, youll make sure that NHSBT is an inclusive place to work for others.Main duties of the jobIn this very important role, you will support the Department and Team to ensure the Department/Directorate functions efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: General administrative support of Manufacturing Management Team Arrange/attend departmental meetings and minute take Periodic archiving Controlled document updates & Q Pulse actions Assist in department Recruitment processes & administration Assist in the induction process of new starters Drafting of letters/communications from Management to staff Review and updating of Training matrix Preparation of reports regarding Task based training/Mandatory training/PDPRs Creation of PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets for use in meetings You will be required to undertake occasional travel to any NHSBT sites and external venues to meet the requirements of the post (notice will be given)About usIt takes all types of people to deliver the kind of service that saves and improves lives.   • Experience in a business administration field equivalent to NVQ L4 OR NVQ L4 (or equivalent) qualification in Business Administration
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Part I & II or ITQ2, or CLAIT II, or OCR (RSA) level 3 in text/word processing or demonstrable work experience

  • Experienced in running bring forward systems and chasing progress on actions.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment, using office equipment, handling conflicting deadline and prioritising.
  • Experience in undertaking research and preparing clear and concise reports, analysis, and recommendations from the results.
  • Experienced in producing meeting agendas and minute taking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Teams and SharePoint.
