Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pmAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Southampton from September 2025 on a long-term contract until July 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, working within an outstanding English department that is known for its supportive team culture, creativity, and commitment to student success.This is an excellent chance for an enthusiastic teacher to make a real impact, contributing to a school that has built a strong reputation for both academic achievement and pupil wellbeing.What You’ll Be Doing
  • Teaching English to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering inspiring lessons that engage and challenge learners
  • Assessing, marking, and tracking student progress in line with curriculum standards
  • Collaborating with a dedicated English department to share best practice and resources
  • Supporting the wider school community, including extracurricular opportunities

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and a real passion for English language and literature
  • A reflective, motivated teacher committed to continuous improvement
  • A team player who is keen to contribute to the life of the school
