Pay Rate: £13.54 per hour (£50 per Sleep-In Shift)
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM (with sleep-in)
Driver Requirement: Full UK Manual Driving Licence (Essential) & Experience With Behaviours of DistressAre you confident, proactive, and passionate about making a real difference? We’re looking for a dedicated Male Support Worker to join our team in Bristol, supporting a gentleman in his 30s with complex autism and needs to live a full and active life.About the RoleThis is a 1:1 support role for someone who thrives on structure, routine, and meaningful engagement. You’ll be working closely with an experienced team and will receive full shadowing and guidance to help you understand the best ways to support him.He enjoys a wide range of activities including:
- Swimming and gym sessions (you’ll need to join in!)
- Cycling, bowling, and walking (especially when the weather’s nice)
- Steam trains, animations, and other sensory interests
- Providing Consistent Support: Following structured routines and PBS strategies.
- Daily Living Support: Encouraging independence with personal care, meal prep, and medication.
- Engaging in Activities: Actively participating in his favourite hobbies and helping him transition between them.
- Building Trust: Spending time shadowing experienced staff to learn how best to support him.
- Promoting Wellbeing: Supporting emotional regulation and managing behaviours of distress with confidence and care.
- Confident & Proactive: Comfortable supporting complex needs and managing risk.
- PBS-Aware: Experience or understanding of Positive Behaviour Support is essential.
- Active & Engaging: Willing to swim, cycle, and get involved in activities.
- Patient & Encouraging: Able to support at a pace that suits the individual.
