Contract Type: Flexible Supply Work (Full Day, Half Day, or Hourly Cover)About the RoleWe are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in East London on a flexible, supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining school-based experience, supporting teaching and learning, and working in a dynamic classroom environment.As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced education professionals looking for flexible working arrangements.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain student engagement throughout the session.Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.Cover may include morning emergency call-outs, full-day assignments, half-day sessions, or hourly cover as required.RequirementsPrevious experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.Strong communication and classroom management skills.Ability to adapt to different school environments and follow instructions effectively.Must have an Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to apply for one before starting).
