About The RoleFDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager to work for our client within the technology sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Heston/London Heathrow or Manchester Airport.Our client is seeking a strong project leader who brings structure and clarity, owns project governance, drives cross-functional delivery, and ensures all teams are moving forward in sync. You must be able to hit the ground running, implementing effective control mechanisms, and operating proactively across global and local stakeholders. You'll be supported by a Technical Delivery Manager overseeing technical aspects such as fixes, releases, and cutovers. This role is critical to the success of global transformation programmes. The ideal candidate will be outcome driven, collaborative with focus on visibility.Responsibilities
  • Lead end to end project setup from planning to reporting while setting up clear meeting cadences at all levels such as local, global, and executive
  • Establish and maintain structured governance models and rhythms: project plans, RAID logs, project status updates, and decision logs
  • Lead project meetings and governance forums with clear agendas and action tracking while coordinating progress across multiple workstreams and resolving blockers
  • Collaborate closely with internal business and IT teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Lead with urgency, ensuring the project remains ahead of the game and aligned to the rollout plan while guaranteeing project plans include critical path, dependencies, milestones, and handoffs
  • Manage risks, issues, and scope changes while ensuring stakeholders and project team members have visibility of milestones, upcoming activities, and next steps
  • Maintain change control discipline and manage stakeholder engagement across the full lifecycle
  • Partner with the Technical Delivery Manager to ensure coordination on releases, testing, and go-live planning while retaining ownership of overall programme outcomes
  • Support transition to BAU by coordinating with change management, service design, and training leads, while facilitating workshops to align scope, outcomes, and actions across SMEs, vendors, and technical teams
