Test and Installation TechnicianWitneySalary Depending on ExperienceA fantastic opportunity has arisen with our respected client in Witney, who are seeking a dedicated Test and Installation Technician to join their team.Test and Installation Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Test and install cryogenic systems both in the lab and at global customer sites
  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 12 times/year, typically 3–14 days per trip)
  • Perform leak checks on cryogenic and vacuum assemblies
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system wiring and faults
  • Support assembly, disassembly, and repair of systems
  • Build accessories (e.g., vibration frames, pump mounts
  • Handle and transfer cryogenic liquids safely
  • Accurately record and store test data
  • Configure and set up system software
  • Complete and maintain route cards
  • Uphold quality standards and cleanliness of the test lab
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, with focus on cryogenic safety
  • Identify tooling/equipment needs and report issues to the Operations Manager
Test and Installation Technician Ideal Candidate:
  • Educational background in science or engineering, with a minimum qualification of A-levels
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar technical or testing environment
  • Strong understanding of SI (International System of) units
  • High level of computer literacy, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Skilled in the use of multimeters and other electrical testing instruments
  • Proficient with basic hand tools
Test and Installation Technician Working Hours:
  • 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday
  • 08:00 – 13:00 Friday
  • Occasional weekend work
