
Maintenance Planner

- Short, medium & long term maintenance planning
+ Develop cost estimates for planned & corrective work as appropriate
+ Maintain long term maintenance plan identifying outage requirements and collaborate with Engineering and Production stakeholders to ensure PM due dates are achieved
+ Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager in preparing turnaround plans for large outages
+ Ensure all aspects of maintenance planning are considered and preparations in place to deliver successful execution of tasks (access, spare parts, external resources, service contracts. etc)
+ Check availability of parts, tools, etc for maintenance work
+ Work with Engineering Supervisors to ensure sufficient staffing is available for maintenance activities
+ Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place as appropriate for planned and unplanned work before locking tasks into plans. Escalate non-conformance as appropriate
+ Organize service visits for equipment as required in collaboration with Maintenance Support Engineers
+ Walk down area during job plan creation >1 week horizon
+ Follow up on purchased engineering materials, services and spares to ensure availability for scheduled work. Escalate issues as appropriate
+ Complete purchase requisitions & goods receipts as appropriate for purchased engineering materials
+ Ensure all work is planned in accordance with Elanco SHE rules, Safe Systems of work, site maintenance & Elanco Engineering procedures
- Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
+ Review and update planning/scheduling SOPs as required, including periodic reviews
+ Provide technical coaching and advice relating to the CMMS and maintenance processes to operators/craft/Process Team members/advise & coach
- Preparation of Reports and Metrics
+ PM look ahead – maintain the short and long term view of PM & CM tasks
+ Ensure risk of overdue PMs is escalated rapidly, and plan to complete
+ Ensure cost estimates are in place for planned & unplanned work as appropriate (collaborating with Engineering & Maintenance partners as required). Measure & report actuals for CM & major PM tasks

+ Undertake training as appropriate, & assist in the training of new personnel when necessary
+ Maintain own competency matrix & role RACIMinimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
- Engineering degree / HND / HNC or equivalent qualifications & experience with experience of engineering planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of UK SHE legislative framework for manufacturing operations
- Understand high-level Basis of Safety of the processes and facilities
- Experience of engineering operations in a regulated environment – for example but not limited to COMAH, GMP, PSSR, DSEAR, LOLER, LOTO, PTW, L8
