The Role: Permanent | Full-time | Mon-Thurs: 08:00-17:00, Fri: 08:00-14:00We're working with a well-established engineering business that designs and builds bespoke automation systems. They are currently seeking an experienced Fabrications Team Leader to manage and lead a small, highly skilled team in their internal fabrication unit.This is a permanent, full-time role offering an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position within a forward-thinking and growing organisation. The business will relocate from Alcester to a new, modern facility near Cheltenham in early 2026. - Operate and lead on brake press usage, ensuring safe and efficient output
- Supervise a small team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Manage daily workflow, production scheduling, and delegation of tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in line with 5S and H&S practices
- Ensure machinery is properly maintained and faults are escalated quickly
- Monitor quality standards and meet deadlines for fabricated parts
- Collaborate with design and production teams to align on project requirements
- Order materials and consumables in line with purchasing processes
- Accurately track project progress and timesheets using internal systems
- Address team issues proactively and escalate where necessary
- Lead by example and continuously improve processes and practices
- Strong background in a fabrication/machine shop environment
- Confident operating a brake press - essential
- Proven leadership experience - able to motivate and develop a team
- IT proficient and comfortable with scheduling and reporting tools
- Familiar with Lean/5S and committed to continuous improvement
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Reliable, hands-on, and solutions-focused
- Able to commute to both current and future site locations - full UK driving licence required
