This Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator role at Avery Healthcare is focused on providing a wide range of engaging activities to support the physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of the residents. The successful candidate will have experience working with older people in a residential or nursing setting, and a passion for creating meaningful experiences for the residents.Main duties of the jobAs the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of activities and events to stimulate the residents' interests and promote their independence, choice, and fulfillment. This will involve understanding the residents' life histories, needs, and preferences, and working closely with the team to create a monthly activity plan and weekly overview.   • Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
  • Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
  • Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
