- (Band 7) MSc Clinical Science (Cardiac, Vascular, Respiratory and Sleep Sciences) or other relevant Level 7 academic qualification or BTEC / HNC in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurements or BSc in Clinical Physiology with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate working at Masters / Academic Level 7 level
- (Band 7) SCST parts I & II (if applicable to qualification route)
- (Band 7) British Society of Echocardiography Adult proficiency Accreditation
- (Band 7) Professional Registration with Academy of healthcare Science or Health and Care Professions Council
- (Band 6) Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) / Healthcare Science (Cardiology) or equivalent qualification or Relevant degree and The Certificate of Completion for the Echocardiography Training Programme (CCETP)
- (Band 6) Registered or eligible to register with RCCP, AHCS or HCPC or Eligible for PTP/STP equivalence
- (Band 6) BSE written assessment completed
- (Band 6) Near completion of BSE practical assessment
- (Band 6 & 7) Immediate Life Support
- (Band 7) Teaching or Managerial Qualification / Experience
- (Band 6) Active membership of the British Society of Echocardiography
- (Band 6) SCST Part I & II
- (Band 6) BSE accreditation
- (Band 6 & 7) Experience in providing specialised, unsupervised diagnostic reports to an appropriate level and highlight and urgent findings
- (Band 7) Ability to deliver hands on training and support junior members of staff, Specialist Registrars or other medical professionals as required
- (Band 6 & 7) Experience of providing a wide range of diagnostic investigations
- (Band 7) Perform transthoracic echocardiograms to a high standard independently in accordance with BSE guidelines and department minimum standards
- (Band 7) Demonstrate Continual Professional Development as per British Society of Echocardiography Guidelines
- (Band 7) Professional membership of relevant professional body obtained by examination e.g. British Society of Echocardiography
- (Band 7) Experience in supervision and assessment
- (Band 6) Professional membership of relevant professional body obtained by examination
- (Band 6) Experience in supervision and assessment
- (Band 6) Basic theory knowledge of Echocardiography and practical experience in Echocardiography
- (Band 7) Some experience in speciality procedures e.g. contrast
- (Band 6 & 7) Ability to communicate well with patients and colleagues
- (Band 6 & 7) Excellent ability to prioritise own workload
- (Band 6 & 7) Positive approach to work and ability to work to deadlines
- (Band 6 & 7) Show initiative and be responsive to service needs
- (Band 6 & 7) Excellent organisational skills
