
Family Solicitor

- Full-time
- Manage a diverse caseload including divorce, private children matters, non-molestation orders and financial relief cases
- Handle files independently, including taking over ongoing cases
- Attend court for directions hearings, first appointments and FDRs
- Draft legal documentation and communicate effectively with clients and third parties
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory obligations, including Legal Aid Agency (LAA) rules and the Solicitors Act
- Provide support and supervision to junior colleagues, including file reviews
- Qualified Family Solicitor with a minimum of 2–3 years' PQE (or equivalent)
- Experience handling a broad range of family law matters including children, divorce, financial disputes and domestic abuse
- Familiarity with TOLATA cases is beneficial
- Excellent client care skills and strong drafting abilities
- Confident in legal aid procedures and billing requirements
- Able to supervise other fee earners and meet LAA supervisor criteria
- Commercial awareness and ability to generate new business is desirable
