Junior Production AssistantWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Assistant to join our clients dynamic production team. This role is crucial in supporting our production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining efficient administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Quality Control & Testing, Quality Administration, and Production Administration within a food manufacturing enviroment.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Testing
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and protocols
  • Conduct regular quality checks on products at various stages of production
  • Perform thorough testing of materials, components, and finished products
  • Document test results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities
  • Identify and report any quality issues or deviations from established standards
  • Collaborate with production team members to resolve quality-related problems
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in quality control
Quality Administration
  • Assist in maintaining and updating quality management documentation
  • Help organise and file quality-related records and reports
  • Support the development and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Contribute to the preparation of quality audit materials and reports
  • Assist in tracking and analysing quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Help coordinate quality-related training sessions for production staff
  • Participate in quality management system reviews and updates
  • Assist in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Production Administration
  • Support the production team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules
  • Help track inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for material replenishment
  • Contribute to the preparation of production reports and performance analyses
  • Assist in monitoring production costs and identifying areas for potential savings
  • Help maintain accurate records of production activities, including time tracking and resource allocation
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and process improvements
  • Assist in coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with quality control software and tools is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with various stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • HACCP (Desirable)
  • Food safety & Hygiene level 3 (Desirable)
