Morson Talent are currently looking for a Contracts Project Manager to join Torness Power Station.You will join our clients ETS team supporting our key client EDF Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK. Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible, however the role will predominantly be based at the power station.
Key responsibilities will be:
  • Contract Manager is accountable to the client Project Portfolio Manager for successful delivery of all aspects of their assigned projects. The Contract Manager will work in the Torness Investment Delivery to support the safe delivery of the portfolio
  • The role will be based at the EDF Torness power station and will require occasional business travel to other UK sites/stations. In this role you will work alongside the project delivery teams and supply chain.
  • Everyone working in our team will have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are a must with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focused tempered with a team-centred approach.
Requirements
  • APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent and versed in modern project management techniques within complex, multi-functional organisations have a thorough understanding and knowledge of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction and installation/commissioning management and commercial contracting.
  • MCIPS or working towards
  • Proven commercial exposure coupled with several years’ experience within technical and commercial work management
  • Experienced - Health and safety management, working in a regulated environment, contract law, QS and dispute resolution
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ideally across a range of complex multi-discipline projects and environments, and management of an integrated project team including staff, agency and assigned functional support.
  • Experience of contract management in a nuclear power station environment will be a particular advantage however applicants with general contract management experience will also be of interest.
