Job DescriptionAre you an experienced HGV Class 1 driver looking for ongoing employment in the Birmingham area? Would you like to work with one of the UK's leading supply chain logistics providers? Pertemps have regular, full-time opportunities available working within the air freight sector, delivering airside with consistent AM start times or PM start times.This role will involve:
- Nationwide airside delivery of air freight
- Between 6 - 12 drops on average per run
- Curtain side and refrigerated vehicles
- AM start times from 05:00 - 08:00
- 8-12-hour shifts (with overtime paid over 45 hours)
- Site based in BirminghamSuccessful HGV Class 1 Drivers will:
- Have at least 12 months solid HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Held HGV Class 1 license for at least 1 year
- Have a maximum of 6 points for minor offences (No DDs, DRs, or CDs)
- Hold valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cardHGV Class 1 Drivers Rates of Pay:
- Monday - Sunday Days - £16.46
- Monday - Sunday Nights - £17.25
- Monday - Saturday OT Rates (after 45 hours) - £23.33
- Sunday & Bank Holiday OT Rate - £31.10
- Overtime premiums available for earlies/ latesSite Specific Requirements:
- Mandatory Assessments involved which includes;
o Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)
o Full site and safe systems of work induction
o Vehicle familiarisation
o Practical driving assessment
- Full 5-year employment references, with any employment gaps accounted for
