Job descriptionProspero Teaching are currently recruiting for a hard-working, confident Learning Support Assistant to work at a welcoming and friendly primary school in Bridgend. The candidate will be working with a child on a 1:1 basis, who has additional learning needs.This role will involve:Working with a child who has additional learning needs, who requires 1:1 supervision through out the day. The pupil has manual handiling requirements, training will be provided where needed.
Preparing resources and areas within the setting
Carrying out assessments and recording information
Assisting in the daily routines for the children
Working with children on range of learning and play activities, indoors and outdoors
Liaising with parents
CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS:Location Bridgend
Start date Immediately
Position Learning Support Assistant
Full-time, 9:00 to 3:30pm daily
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience working within a UK primary schoolLevel 2 (or above) Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Education Studies Degree or similar.Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year (free online Safeguarding training is available if needed)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE WITH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80 if you dont already have one
