- Act as the strategic financial adviser to the Executive Director: People, Assistant Directors, and Executive Members
- Lead financial planning and budget management across Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, and SEND
- Oversee and advise on the allocation and management of the Dedicated Schools Grant, including development of the local funding formula
- Produce impact assessments, forecasts, and budget reports to inform decision-making at senior levels
- Line manage Deputy Finance Business Partners and help develop team capability and service delivery
- Represent the s151 officer in directorate matters, ensuring high financial standards and compliance across the portfolio
- Contribute to statutory financial reporting and the preparation of year-end accounts
- CCAB-qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience
- In-depth knowledge of local authority finance, particularly in relation to Social Care and Education funding
- Experience managing complex, high-value budgets and supporting business transformation programmes
