- Undertake and supervise servicing and repairs of vehicles, plant, and associated equipment to achieve high standards with minimal downtime.
- Act as the Authorised Examiner Delegated Manager who prepares vehicles for MOT/HGV tests, ensuring all regulatory standards are met.
- Manage a skilled team, ensuring employee capabilities align with company needs and providing direction, motivation, training, and support.
- Oversee all maintenance functions, including planning, quality control, and training, ensuring compliance with safety and budgetary guidelines.
- Contribute to operational business activities by providing accurate information for monitoring and budgeting purposes.
- Stay updated on service developments and maintain knowledge of regulations relevant to municipal fleet vehicle maintenance.Requirements:
- Level 3 Motor Vehicle Qualification and willingness to achieve a Level 4 qualification within 12 months.
- Management qualification to Level 4 and IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
- Cat C driving licence and a commitment to undertake the Authorised Examiner Delegated Manager Qualification.
- Substantial experience managing diverse vehicle fleet maintenance, with strong planning and customer service skills.
